We collect minimal information necessary to provide our service:

Email Address

When you download our shortcuts, we collect your email address for:

• Delivering the shortcut download links
• Sending product updates and announcements (if you opt in)
• Account management for Pro subscribers

Contact Form Information

When you use our contact form, we collect:

• Your name
• Email address
• Subject and message content

Usage Data

We may collect anonymous usage data through our hosting provider (Vercel) including page views, device type, and general geographic region. This data is aggregated and cannot identify individual users.

Web Downloader

The web downloader requires no email, account, or sign-in. When you paste a post link, it is sent to our servers, which resolve it to locate the available media and return your download options. We use the link only to fulfill that request and do not keep a record of the posts you resolve.

We do not store the media you download. Files pass through our servers only transiently on their way to your device, and each download link is short-lived. Because links are resolved on our servers rather than entirely in your browser, the web downloader is not fully on-device.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Deliver shortcuts and verify your email address
• Process Pro subscription payments
• Send product updates (with your consent)
• Respond to support inquiries
• Improve our service and user experience
• Prevent abuse and ensure security

4. Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party services to operate TVDL:

Supabase

Resend

We use Resend to send transactional and marketing emails. Your email address is shared with Resend for this purpose. View Resend's Privacy Policy.

Stripe

Pro subscriptions are processed through Stripe. When you subscribe, Stripe collects payment information directly. We do not store your credit card details. View Stripe's Privacy Policy.

Vercel

Our website is hosted on Vercel, which may collect anonymous analytics data. View Vercel's Privacy Policy.

Cloudflare

The web downloader uses Cloudflare Turnstile, an invisible security check that helps us tell real visitors from automated bots without showing you a puzzle or asking you to do anything. To run this check, Cloudflare receives basic request information such as your IP address and browser details. 5. Cookies and Tracking

We use minimal cookies to operate our service:

• Theme preference: Stores your light/dark mode choice (localStorage)
• Announcement dismissal: Remembers dismissed banners (localStorage)
• Downloader preferences: If we add per-session options to the web downloader in the future, such as remembering your preferred download quality, that choice is stored on your device (localStorage) and stays there

We do not use third-party tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or analytics platforms that track individual users across websites. The web downloader runs a Cloudflare security check, described in the Third-Party Services section above, that is used only to verify requests and deter automated abuse, not to track you.

6. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including:

• Encrypted connections (HTTPS) for all data transmission
• Secure database access with authentication
• Single-use, time-limited email verification tokens
• HMAC signatures for unsubscribe links to prevent tampering

7. Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding your data:

Access

You can request a copy of the data we hold about you by contacting us.

Deletion

You can request deletion of your data at any time. We will remove your email and associated data within 30 days, except where we are legally required to retain it.

Unsubscribe

Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. You can also manage your email preferences through the unsubscribe page.

Correction

If any information we hold about you is incorrect, please contact us to request a correction.

8. Data Retention

We retain your email address for as long as you remain subscribed to our service. If you unsubscribe, we retain a hashed version of your email for 90 days to prevent duplicate signups, after which it is permanently deleted. Contact form messages are retained for 1 year for support purposes.

9. Children's Privacy

TVDL is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child, please contact us immediately.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Significant changes will be communicated via email to subscribers.
