Download Kuaishou Videos Without a Watermark on iPhone

You found a video on Kuaishou (快手) and want to keep it on your iPhone. Saving from inside the app, where it's allowed, usually leaves the Kuaishou watermark on the copy. A screen recording picks up the app's buttons and captions, and any notification that arrives while it runs. What you want is the clean video in your Photos app.

This guide shows how to do that on an iPhone with TVDL Pro. Setup takes about two minutes, and after that each save is a few taps.

The quick answer

Get TVDL Pro and add the TVDL Pro shortcut. Then, in the Kuaishou app, tap the share arrow on a video and tap Copy Link. Open Shortcuts, run TVDL Pro and paste the link. The video saves to your Photos without the watermark.

Kuaishou is a Pro feature. The free TVDL shortcut covers X, Bluesky and Mastodon, and it won't save from Kuaishou.

How to save a Kuaishou video step by step

1. Get TVDL Pro. Pick a plan on the Pro page. It's $5 a month, $48 a year (which works out to $4 a month), or a one-time Lifetime plan. Kuaishou is in all of them.
2. Add the Pro shortcut. Open the TVDL Pro shortcut link on your iPhone, tap Add Shortcut, and enter the email you paid with. That email is how the shortcut knows you're on Pro.
3. Copy the video's share link. In the Kuaishou app, tap the share arrow on the video, then tap Copy Link (复制链接).
4. Run TVDL Pro. If TVDL Pro shows up when you share, pick it. If it doesn't, open the Shortcuts app, run TVDL Pro, and paste the link when it asks.
5. Find it in Photos. Give it a few seconds. The video lands in your Photos app like any other clip.

The first run asks for permission to read the link and save to Photos. Tap Allow and you won't be asked again.

Saving Kuaishou videos without the watermark

The watermark gets added when you save through the Kuaishou app. A screen recording has a different problem: it captures the app's buttons and captions around the video.

TVDL Pro works from the link instead. It looks up the public video behind that link and saves the video file to your iPhone. There's no recording step and nothing drawn over the picture, so what lands in Photos is the clip as it plays, without the watermark.

Getting the link out of the Kuaishou app

The Kuaishou app doesn't always show the regular iPhone share sheet. Its share panel has its own row of options, and TVDL Pro may not be in it. You only need the link, so copy it:

1. Open the video and tap the share arrow on the right side of the screen.
2. In the panel that slides up, tap Copy Link (复制链接).
3. Open Shortcuts, run TVDL Pro, and paste.

Sometimes Kuaishou copies a line of text along with the link. If a paste doesn't work, try again with just the part that starts with https://.

These are the link formats TVDL accepts for Kuaishou:

• Short share links like https://v.kuaishou.com/…. This is what the app's Copy Link usually gives you.
• Video pages on kuaishou.com whose address contains /short-video/.
• Links on kuaishou.com whose address contains /f/.

Links to a profile, a search page or the home page won't work, because they don't point at one video. Open the video itself and copy its link.

If you watch Kuaishou in Safari rather than the app, open the video, tap Share in the Safari toolbar and pick TVDL Pro. It reads the page you're on.

What you can save

From Kuaishou, TVDL Pro saves videos, without the watermark. Kuaishou is video only in TVDL for now, though Pro does save photos from other apps. The full list of what each app supports is on the supported platforms page.

Everything goes into your Photos app. From there you can watch it offline or send it on like any other clip.

The honest limits

Kuaishou joined TVDL Pro on September 29 (here's the launch post), and it's one of the newest things TVDL does. It works, but I'm still tuning it. Now and then a video may not save. When that happens, TVDL shows a message and offers to send me the link, and those reports are how I find and fix what's missing. Please send them.

A few other things to know:

• Public videos only. TVDL sees what someone who isn't logged in can see. It can't reach private accounts, videos shared only with friends, or anything behind a login.
• Generous daily limits. Pro has daily limits set for personal use. Normal saving won't come close.
• iOS 13 and later. TVDL runs on iOS 13 and up, and I've tested it on iOS 27. The steps are the same on every version.

As with any app, saving a clip for yourself is one thing. Reposting someone else's work is another, so credit the creator when you share.
