Threads, Facebook, Reddit and Kuaishou Are Now in TVDL Pro

TVDL Pro now works with four more apps: Threads, Facebook, Reddit and Kuaishou. They join Instagram and TikTok, so Pro now saves from 9 apps. The free shortcut still covers X, Bluesky and Mastodon, same as always.

There is nothing new to install. If you are on Pro, share a post from any of these apps to TVDL Pro the same way you already do, and it lands in your Photos.

What you can save from each

• Reddit. Videos with their sound, plus images, galleries and GIFs. Reddit keeps a video's sound in a separate file, which is why so many Reddit downloads come out silent. TVDL saves them with the sound.
• Facebook. Videos, Reels, photos and whole photo albums from public posts and Pages.
• Threads. Videos, photos and carousels.
• Kuaishou (快手). Videos, without the watermark.

You might notice that list has a lot of photos in it. Pro saves more than video now. Instagram photos and carousels and TikTok photo slideshows came along the way too, and they all go into Photos next to your videos.

How to save a post

1. Open the post in the app, or in Safari.
2. Tap Share and pick TVDL Pro.
3. Give it a few seconds. The video or photos show up in your Photos app.

Some apps hide the iPhone share sheet behind a "More" or "Share via" button. If you can't find TVDL Pro there, tap Copy Link, open Shortcuts, run TVDL Pro and paste the link. Same result.

New to Pro? It takes about two minutes. Pick a plan, add the TVDL Pro shortcut, and enter the email you paid with. That's it.

These four are new, so here's the honest part

They're live and they work, but they are the newest thing TVDL does and I'm still tuning them. Now and then a post might not save. When that happens, TVDL tells you and offers to send me the link. Those reports are how I find the gaps and fix them, so please do send them.

The usual limits apply too. TVDL saves public posts, the ones anyone can see without logging in. It can't reach private accounts, friends-only posts or private groups. And like Instagram and TikTok, the new apps come with generous daily limits set for normal personal use. Everyday saving won't come close.

Why I keep adding apps

I've made TVDL on my own since 2018. It started as a way to save videos from Twitter, and for years that's all it did. The goal is bigger now. I want TVDL to be the most versatile downloader on iPhone, the one shortcut you reach for no matter which app the video is in.

Pro is how that gets built. It pays for the servers and the download engines that make apps like these work, and every new app lands in Pro.

What's next

Douyin, LinkedIn, SoundCloud and Snapchat are on the list. I won't promise dates I can't keep, but adding apps is the main thing I'm working on.
