Instagram and TikTok Are Now Included in TVDL Pro
Instagram and TikTok are now in every TVDL Pro plan. Save TikTok videos without a watermark and Instagram reels and video posts in HD up to 1080p, straight to your iPhone Camera Roll.
Two of the most requested platforms are finally here. Instagram and TikTok now work with TVDL, and they are included in every TVDL Pro plan at no extra cost. TikTok saves without the watermark, and Instagram reels and video posts come down in HD, up to 1080p, straight to your iPhone Camera Roll.
I have made TVDL since 2018, and these two took a while for good reason. Both are harder to save from than X, Bluesky, or Mastodon, and I did not want to ship a version that half worked. It is ready now, so if you are on Pro, grab the Pro shortcut and you can start saving today. If you are not, here is exactly what you get and how to use it.
What is included with Pro
Here is the short version, so you know what you are getting:
- TikTok with no watermark. You get the clean original video, not a screen recording and not a copy with the bouncing TikTok logo baked into it.
- Instagram reels and video posts in HD. Public reels and feed videos save in high definition, up to 1080p.
- Straight to your Camera Roll. The finished video lands in Photos like any other clip, ready to watch offline, edit, or send to a friend.
- No extra charge. Both are part of every Pro plan. Nothing new to buy if you already subscribe.
The free TVDL shortcut still covers X (Twitter), Bluesky, and Mastodon with no watermark. Instagram and TikTok are the two we added to Pro, because they take the extra engines and dedicated servers that Pro runs to stay reliable.
How to download a TikTok video without a watermark
If you have searched for a way to save a TikTok without the watermark, this is it. The first time takes a couple of minutes to set up. After that it is a couple of taps.
- Get TVDL Pro. Subscribe on the Pro page. Instagram and TikTok are in every plan, so any tier works.
- Add the Pro shortcut. Open the TVDL Pro shortcut link on your iPhone and tap Add Shortcut. It joins your Shortcuts app and your share sheet, right next to the free one.
- Copy the TikTok link. In the TikTok app, tap Share on the video, then Copy Link. If you are in a browser, copy the URL from the address bar.
- Run TVDL and save. Tap Share and choose TVDL Pro, or open Shortcuts and paste the link. The clean video saves to your Camera Roll in a few seconds, with no watermark.
How to download an Instagram video on iPhone
Instagram works the same way, with one small difference in where the link lives. Reels, feed videos, and the video in a carousel post all save the same way.
- Open the reel or post in the Instagram app.
- Tap the paper plane share icon, then Copy Link. In Safari, tap Share in the toolbar and skip straight to TVDL, which reads the current page on its own.
- Tap Share and pick TVDL Pro, or run it from the Shortcuts app and paste the link.
- The video saves to your Camera Roll in HD, up to 1080p.
That is the whole flow. If someone sends you an Instagram or TikTok link in Messages, you can share that link straight to TVDL too, without opening either app.
The quality you can expect
TVDL saves the best public version each platform serves. For Instagram, that is HD up to 1080p on reels and video posts. For TikTok, it is the original file without the watermark.
Neither platform hands out a tidy menu of resolutions the way X does, so on the odd post you might get a slightly lower quality than you hoped. When that happens, Pro helps: it runs several extraction engines and picks the best result any of them can reach, rather than giving up on the first try.
Fair use and the honest limits
A couple of honest notes, because I would rather you hear them from me.
Instagram and TikTok come with generous daily limits that are set for normal, personal use, like saving a clip to watch later or to send to a friend. Everyday saving will never bump into them. The limits are only there to keep one account from hammering the servers for everyone else.
And the usual line applies: TVDL only saves public videos, the ones anyone can open without logging in. It cannot reach a private account, a followers-only post, or a story that needs a login, because it only sees what a logged-out visitor sees. Saving a public video for your own use is generally fine. Reposting someone else's work as your own, or using it commercially without permission, is a different question and is on you. When in doubt, credit the creator.
These two are new, so treat them as beta
I want to be straight about where these stand. Instagram and TikTok are live and they work well, but they are the newest thing TVDL does, and both platforms change how their videos are served more often than the others. That means a save can occasionally miss right after one of them ships a change.
When that happens, it is usually fixed within a day or two. Pro is built to soften it, since the multi-engine fallback can route around a source that stopped working. If a download ever fails, open the post in Safari first to confirm the video still plays, then check the help center for any current known issues. You can subscribe below to get the fix the moment it lands.
More platforms are on the way
Instagram and TikTok are the start of a longer list. They were the two most asked for, so they went first, and a few more are already in the works. I am not going to name dates I cannot promise, but adding platforms to Pro is now the main thing I am working on.
If there is one you want next, the contact page reaches me directly, and I read every note.
